Questionnaire items about pragmatic communication strategy use of Chinese EFL learners has limited correlationship. After item analysis, reliability analysis and factor analysis, the use frequency of those reliable and valid strategies indicates that the subjects frequently apply those language learning pragmatic communication strategies. The result indicates that communication is goal oriented. Kruskal-Wallis H test demonstrates that both motivation and personality have significant influence on the use of most strategies.
