The present study examined features in the application of content knowledge in EFL writing by administering a questionnaire to 372 undergraduates and 349 graduate students.Data analysis revealed that the preferred knowledge sources are personal experience and speculation,followed by relevant literature,authoritative evidence and theoretical evidence.Furthermore,the preferred strategies of knowledge representation were found to be subjective perspective,fact using and multi-perspective while paraphrasing,summarizing,criticizing,objective perspective and data use were less frequently used.Signif...
