摘要：

弗吉尼亚·伍尔夫的作品里有极其浓厚的死亡意识,这是许多评论者都已经论及的。然而,伍尔夫作品的价值还在于她并没有仅仅局限于死亡意识,她笔下的人物用自己的人生选择超越了死亡意识,表现了对人生存在目标的攀升。笔者以《达洛维太太》、《到灯塔去》、《海浪》三篇意识流名作为范例,分析了其中主要人物与次主角命运的“死与变”的对立与融合,透析其中蕴涵的弗吉尼亚·伍尔夫对人生的思索,力图重新评价和认定伍尔夫作品内涵,突破以往伍尔夫在我国研究界的意识流代表作家的单一形象。

Many scholars have pointed out the death consciousness in Virginia Woolf's works. How ever, we can also find that her characters struggle against fate to go beyond the death consciousness. This article analyzes the two different lives-"death and change" of the characters in Mrs Dawllory, To the Light house and The Waves. Such analyses may help to reveal the profound meanings of Woolf's work, thus going beyond former studies of Woolf' as a stream of consciousness novelist. © C...
