摘要:
Understanding the relationship between interactive behaviours and discourse content has critical implications for instructors' design and facilitation of collaborative discussion activities in the online discussion forum (ODF). This paper adopts social network analysis (SNA) and epistemic network analysis (ENA) methods to jointly investigate the relationships between students' network characteristics, discussion topics, and learning outcomes in a course discussion forum. Discourse data from 207 participants were included in this study. The findings indicated that (1) the interactive network generated in the collaborative discussion activities was sparsely connected, and there was limited information exchange between instructors and students; (2) students' discussion topics were mainly related to the learning content; (3) compared with the isolated group, students in the leader, mediator, and animator groups were more concerned about topics related to the learning content; and (4) students who discussed more topics related to the learning content performed better than the students who discussed more topics related to learning methods and social interactions. The learning outcomes of the influencer and leader groups were significantly higher than those of the peripheral and isolated groups. However, there was no significant correlation between students' individual centrality and their learning outcomes. The findings enrich the ODF research on the comprehensive identification of interactive behaviours and discourse content in the process of collaborative discussion activities and on the discussion topic differences between different role groups. The study findings also have practical implications for instructors to design effective instructional interventions aimed at improving the quality of collaboration in the ODF.

摘要:
Abstract: Traditional methods of student assessment (SA) include self-reported surveys, standardized tests, etc. These methods are widely regarded by researchers as inducing test anxiety. They also ignore students’ thinking processes and are not applicable to the assessment of higher-order skills. Digital game-based assessment (DGBA) is thought to address the shortcomings of traditional assessment methods. Given the advantages of DGBA, an increasing number of empirical studies are working to apply digital games for SA. However, there is a lack of any systematic review of DGBA studies. In particular, very little is known about the characteristics of the games, the content of the assessment, the methods of implementation, and the distribution of the results. This study examined the characteristics of DGBA studies, and the adopted games on SA in the past decade from different perspectives. A rigorous systematic review process was adopted in this study. First, the Web of Science (WOS) database was used to search the literature on DGBA published over the last decade. Then, 50 studies on SA were selected for subsequent analysis according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results of this study found that DGBA has attracted the attention of researchers around the world. The participants of the DGBA studies were distributed across different educational levels, but the number of participants was small. Among all game genres, educational games were the most frequently used. Disciplinary knowledge is the most popular SA research content. Formative assessment modeling with process data and summative assessment using final scores were the most popular assessment methods. Correlation analysis was the most popular analysis method to verify the effectiveness of games on SA. However, many DGBA studies have reported unsatisfactory data analysis results. For the above findings, this study further discussed the reasons, as well as the meanings. In conclusion, this review showed the current status and gaps of DGBA in the SA application; directional references for future research of researchers and game designers are also provided. Background: During the COVID-19 pandemic, depressive symptoms, a common emotional problem among adolescents, have become more prominent. Regarding the influencing factors of adolescent depressive symptoms, it is widely accepted that parents' problematic cellphone use around the family (specifically parental phubbing) is a strong predictive factor for the development of depressive symptoms among adolescents. Notably, the COVID-19 pandemic caused a sharp increase in the number of individuals with depressive symptoms, and the negative consequences of parental phubbing and depressive symptoms might have been exacerbated. Accordingly, this study aimed to examine the association between parental phubbing and adolescent depressive symptoms as well as their underlying mechanism. Method: To test our hypotheses, we conducted an offline/online survey with 614 adolescents in Central China from May to June 2022, which corresponded to a period of strict lockdowns in some areas due to the outbreak of the Omicron variant. The participants completed a set of measures, including a technology interference questionnaire, a parent-child relationship scale, a self-concept clarity scale, and the depressive symptoms scale. Results: Parental phubbing was positively associated with adolescent depressive symptoms; the parent-child relationship and self-concept clarity could independently mediate this relationship; and the parent-child relationship and self-concept clarity were also serial mediators in this association. These findings extend previous research by highlighting the impact of parental technology use on their children and the underlying mechanism explaining adolescent depressive symptoms. They provide practical recommendations for parents to prioritize fostering a positive family environment and minimizing phubbing behaviors to enhance adolescent development, particularly in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract: Urban–rural integration is an inevitable course for the transformation and development of resource-exhausted cities, and it is also an internal requirement to achieve sustainable development goals. Taking Zaozhuang city as a case study, this paper constructed an “Economic–Spatial–Social” (ESS) evaluation index system of urban–rural integration according to the connotations. We used the TOPSIS and obstacle degree (OD) models to measure the urban–rural integration level, from 2009 to 2019, and diagnosed the obstacles. The results show that: (1) The overall level of urban–rural integration in Zaozhuang improves year by year and presents two stages: in the initial stage of integration from 2009 to 2012, the total integration degree slowly increases, but the internal indicators fluctuated. The period ranging from the years 2012 to 2019 was stable for integrated development, with the overall urban–rural integration level significantly increasing and the internal indicators steadily improving year by year. (2) The urban–rural economic integration degree of Zaozhuang has a good foundation, and the degree of economic integration presents the characteristics of decreasing at first and then increasing, attaining the lowest value in 2012 and then slowly increasing; the foundation of urban–rural social integration is weak, but the social integration degree growth rate is the highest. The degree of urban–rural spatial integration has rapidly increased year by year, and urban and rural area exchanges and interactions have been strengthened. (3) According to the diagnosis results of the obstacle degrees, the main obstacles that affect urban–rural integration in Zaozhuang are concentrated at the economic level. Finally, the suggestions are put forward to coordinate urban–rural integration and sustainable development for resource-exhausted cities. 摘要:
A growing body of literature has studied the empirical relationship between industrial diversity and economic resilience since the 2008 Great Recession. However, many existing studies are based on a nonspatial perspective, and little is known about the local or global spatial spillover effect of industrial diversity on economic resilience. This paper employs Bayesian spatial econometric methods to investigate the roles of related variety and unrelated variety on economic resilience in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River urban agglomeration, China and explores the possible local or global spatial spillover effect in the diversity-resilience relationship. The empirical results from the spatial Durbin error model estimation show that: (1) regions with high levels of related variety are economically resilient to the external shock in the postcrisis era, whereas unrelated variety has no significant direct effect on recovery resilience; (2) both related and unrelated variety have local spatial spillovers with respect to the one-year resilience of 2008-2009, but these spillovers are negligible in longer study periods. These results confirm the role of industrial relatedness and immediate neighbors in promoting regions' short-run capabilities of recovery from external economic shocks.

摘要:
Risk and return are two fundamentals that have an impact on an investor???s or hedger???s investing choices. Based on the proposed synchronous movement intensity index, this paper aims to improve the hedging performance by adjusting the model-driven hedge ratio and realize the trade-off between return and risk in futures hedging. First, without loss of generality, we forecast crude oil spot and futures volatility using 10 GARCH-type models, including three linear models and seven nonlinear models, to obtain the ex-ante hedging ratio under the minimum variance framework. Then, we develop a novel and tractable method to identify the market state based on the index of consistency intensity, in which the index portrays the synchronous degree of stock price movements in the energy sector. Last but not least, we propose the hedge ratio adjustment criteria based on the identified state, and adjust the ratio driven by GARCH-type models of futures in accordance with the market state. Empirical results of crude oil futures markets indicate that the proposed state-dependent hedging model is superior to the commonly used models in terms of three criteria including mean of returns, variance, and ratio of mean to variance of returns for measuring hedging effect. We apply the DM test to make a statistical inference and discover that while the mean and the ratio of mean to variance of returns are increasing, the variance and hedging effectiveness of the hedged portfolio based on the modified methods are not significantly affected. Furthermore, the superiority of the proposed method is robust to different market conditions, including significant rising or falling trends, large basis, and COVID-19 pandemic. We also test the robustness of the proposed method with respect to the baseline model, quantile, and evaluation window. Overall, this paper provides a more realistic approach for crude oil risk managers to hedge crude oil price risk, some corresponding implications are also concluded.

摘要:
Transforming ecological products into sources of economic value can help mitigate the tension between environmental conservation and economic growth. Using the capital cycle theory and the unique qualities of eco-friendly items, this study utilizes a case study approach, focusing on Zhengjiabang Village located in Changyang, Hubei Province. Meanwhile, we build a value realization chain of ecological products by combining the practical process of the village. On this basis, we reveal the roles of each subject and object in the evolutionary process, from ecological resources to ecological products. We also identify the key issues of eco-industrial expansion and spatial evolution. Taking the industrialization of ecological capital as the key, we add a step of value feedback to create a cycle of ecological product value realization and strengthen the sustainability of capital and industry. Ultimately, we aim to promote the transformation of ecological environmental advantages into economic advantages, and provide a new concept able to promote the construction of endogenous mechanisms for realizing the value of ecological products in rural areas.

Abstract: The digital transformation and innovative development of museums have led consumers to increasingly prefer purchasing museum cultural and creative products through e-commerce platforms. Although this trend shows potential for market growth, the lack of distinct cultural identity and insufficient product differentiation hinder its stable development. Therefore, this study aims to explore consumers’ perceptions on Palace Museum’s cultural and creative products using cultural hierarchy theory. Taking the Palace Museum’s Cultural and Creative Flagship Store on Tmall.com as a case study, the employed evaluation method involves constructing a lexicon of cultural features using Word2vec model and then analyzing online textual reviews to identify these features. Results reveal that among the various cultural features of the products, consumers placed the greatest emphasis on “Materials used” and the least on “Specialty craft”. With regards to the cultural features of inner “intangible” level, consumers tend to have a limited comprehension and familiarity with the cultural heritage and histories behind the products. This study provides suggestions to museum professionals to optimize the use of traditional cultural resources and develop a product development plan. Written Communication, Volume 40, Issue 4, Page 1218-1252, October 2023. <br/>Guided by argumentation schema theory, we conducted five psychological studies in the United States and China on arguments about vaccination. Study 1 replicated research about arguments on several topics, finding that agreement judgments are weighted toward claims, whereas quality judgments are weighted toward reasons. However, consistent with recent research, when this paradigm was extended to arguments about vaccination (Study 2), claims received more weight than reasons in judgments about agreement and quality. Studies 3 and 4 were conducted in the United States and China on how people process counterarguments against anti-vaccination assertions. Rebuttals did not influence agreement but played a role in argument quality judgments. Both political position (in the United States) and medical education (in China) predicted differences in argument evaluation. Bad reasons lowered agreement (Study 5), especially among participants studying health care. Political polarization apparently heightens the impact of claim side in the argumentation schema, likely to the detriment of public discourse.

INTRODUCTION: Identifying risk and protective factors of aggressive behavior during adolescence is beneficial for the intervention and prevention treatments. Although studies show that attachment quality is closely related to aggression, the underlying psychological mechanisms remain unclear. This study aimed to investigate the links of parental attachment with proactive and reactive aggression and to examine the mediating role of perspective taking and self-control among Chinese adolescents. METHODS: A cluster sampling method was used to recruit participants from several high schools located in the central regions of China. A total of 2982 participants (M(age) = 17.28, SD = 0.83, range 15~20 years; 1602 girls, 1380 boys) were included in the final analysis. RESULTS: Correlation analysis showed that participants possessing higher attachment security with parents were more likely to report lower levels of proactive and reactive aggression. And, self-control and perspective taking were positively associated with parental attachment, and negatively associated with both types of aggression. Moreover, structural equation models indicated that parental attachment directly, and indirectly predicted proactive and reactive aggression through self-control and perspective taking. DISCUSSION: Overall, this study contributes to a more comprehensive understanding of the explanatory mechanisms that link adolescent-parent attachment and aggression, and suggest that high quality of adolescent-parent interactions may promote adolescents' self-control and perspectives taking, which further reduces their aggression propensity.
