Highly cited papers showcase high-quality research and encompass significant themes in the field. This study examined a total of 435 highly cited papers based on Essential Citation Indicators in the Web of Science (WoS) category of sport sciences with a bibliometric method. In particular, the bibliometric indicators of the highly cited papers including publication venues, authors, countries, institutions, and the top cited publications were presented and analyzed in detail. An Abstract corpus was constructed to help identify the most frequently explored topics. VOSviewer was employed to visualize the co-occurrence networks of keywords. The study revealed the trending information of important contributors at the levels of journals, authors, countries, and institutes. The top cited publications can be grouped into three categories: guidelines, recommendations based on systematic reviews, and evaluations. The most frequently explored topics based on the Abstract corpus and the most frequently used keywords from VOSviewer mapping overlap to a great extent. Specifically, topics such as meta-analysis, systematic review, sport-related concussion, sedentary behavior, football, rehabilitation, and osteoarthritis are among the most frequently mentioned. The results provide the most updated publication characteristics and hot topics of highly cited papers in sport sciences and offer insights for academic researchers in future research. What are the top cited papers in the area of sport sciences? What are the publication characteristics of these highly cited papers? What are the most frequently explored topics? Researchers in the areas of sports and its neighboring disciplines are keen to find the answers. Meaning in life refers to an individual's capacity to understand and grasp the meaning of their own existence, as well as being aware of the goals, tasks, or missions in their personal life. Previous studies have found that college students lack meaning in life, but physical exercise can enhance it. In this study, 3,196 college students completed self-report questionnaires to assess self-efficacy, life satisfaction, physical exercise, and meaning in life. The results revealed that the physical exercise not only influenced an individual's perceived meaning in life directly, but also influenced it through self-efficacy. Furthermore, it confirmed the chain mediating role of self-efficacy and life satisfaction, whereby engaging in physical exercise can ultimately impact meaning in life through self-efficacy and life satisfaction. This discovery can help educators create interventions to improve college students' physical exercise engagement and overall life satisfaction.

The dual-factor model of mental health has garnered substantial support, positing the necessity of encompassing both negative (e.g., psychological problems) and positive (e.g., well-being) indicators in comprehensive evaluations of people’s mental health. Nonetheless, the nature of the profiles and predictors (such as academic emotions) during four years of university life lack clarity, hampering a profound understanding of mental well-being among university students. This research included 135 items designed to assess an array of depression symptoms, negative emotional experiences, life satisfaction, positive emotional experiences, and academic emotions. First, this research affirmed the applicability of the dual-factor model in the context of Chinese university students (N = 2277) with the utilization of confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). Furthermore, latent profile analysis (LPA) was employed to delineate prevalent constellations of psychological symptoms and subjective well-being within participants. The outcomes unveiled the existence of three distinct clusters: (1) Complete Mental Health, (2) Vulnerable, and (3) Troubled. Third, by employing R3stept on academic emotions and mental health classifications, this study revealed that there were associations between this variable and specific amalgams of psychological symptoms and well-being levels. These findings bear influence on the practice of mental health screening and the identification of individuals necessitating targeted interventions.

Sportsmanship is a core characteristic of competitive sports. To determine the factors related to sportsmanship and explore effective strategies to maintain sportsmanship in adolescent athletes, the present study examined the relationship between anxiety and sportsmanship in adolescent athletes and evaluated the potential mediating roles of athlete burnout and exercise cognition. In this study, 1,544 adolescent athletes (852 boys and 692 girls) with an average age of 14.43 years (SD = 1.92) were enrolled. The analyses showed that there was a significant correlation between state anxiety, trait anxiety, athlete burnout, exercise cognition, and sportsmanship. Additionally, state and trait anxiety were associated with lower levels of sportsmanship, and athlete burnout and exercise cognition played multiple mediating roles in the relationship between anxiety and sportsmanship. These findings suggest that anxiety is a plausible explanation for sportsmanship. Adolescent athletes with high levels of trait or state anxiety are more likely to experience athlete burnout, have poorer levels of exercise cognition, and display less sportsmanship.

Physical activity performed in a natural environment, especially among green spaces, is associated with mental health benefits. Yet few studies have explored the separable influences of visual perception on the effects of green exercise. The present study assessed the extent to which two components of visual perception (form and color) contributed to mental health benefits by separating the form and color characteristics of an image of a green tree. In total, 76 healthy college students (18–24 years of age) engaged in incremental cycling exercise at a moderate intensity while viewing an image in front of them on a large screen. Participants were randomly assigned to one of four groups in which the image they viewed was a green tree, an achromatic tree, a formless color green, or a formless achromatic color. Before and after cycling (test time), participants’ selective attention, mood state, and self-esteem were assessed using the Perception and Attention Function battery and the Chinese versions of the Profile of Mood States scale and the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale, respectively. Significant interactions detected between test time and form perception indicated that scores in total mood disturbance decreased and scores in the esteem subscale and self-esteem scale increased after cycling while viewing trees. A significant interaction between test time and color perception indicated that anger decreased in the two green color conditions. A significant interaction of color perception by form perception by test time was associated with a significant decrease in response times on the attention task after cycling among participants who viewed the green tree. Our findings are important for interpreting mechanisms underlying characteristics attributable to environmental benefits and revealed that single (color or form) or combined (color and form) visual perception improved the mental health benefits of exercise. These findings may also inform the design and planning of urban green spaces to maximize green exercise effects.

Following preventive behaviors is a key measure to protect people from infectious diseases. Protection motivation theory (PMT) suggests that perceived risk motivates individuals to take protective measures. The COVID-19 pandemic has posed unprecedented stress to the public, and changes in perceived risk may be more pronounced among college students than among other groups due to the related campus lockdown. With 1,119 college students recruited as research subjects, a quantitative research was conducted in Wuhan, China, to deduce the relationship between the perceived risk and preventive behavior of college students, as well as between the mediation effect of individual affect and the moderating effect of physical exercise. The results showed that the preventive behavior of college students was significantly affected by perceived risk, and both positive affect and negative affect played a mediating role between perceived risk and preventive behavior. Specifically, positive affect aided the relationship between perceived risk and preventive behavior, negative affect was detrimental to their relationship, and the mediation effect of positive affect is significantly higher than that of negative affect. Furthermore, physical exercise played a moderating role in the mediation effects of positive affect and negative affect. Therefore, appropriate measures should be taken to strengthen Chinese college students' perceived risk and provide them with corresponding guidance. The importance of physical exercise should also be emphasized to help college students with low perceived risk reduce negative affect, increase positive affect, and promote their preventive behavior.

Totally 624 Chinese middle school students were participated in the present study, aiming to examine the correlations between teacher support, peer support, academic self-efficacy, positive emotions, and student engagement in physical education. Our findings demonstrated that student engagement was directly and significantly impacted by both teacher and peer support. Academic self-efficacy mediated the connection between teacher support, peer support, and student engagement, while positive emotions only mediated between teacher support and student engagement. Besides, teacher and peer support indirectly affected student engagement via the sequential mediating roles of academic self-efficacy and positive emotions, respectively. Academic self-efficacy exhibited a larger mediation impact between peer support and student engagement as compared to teacher support, while positive emotions had a relatively weaker mediating effect. These findings emphasize the value of peer and teacher support in encouraging student engagement in physical education. Moreover, enhancing students' academic self-efficacy and positive emotions in the classroom plays an essential role in building a positive cycle that encourages student participation in physical education.

Previous studies have implied that physical activity profoundly influences interpersonal adaptation. However, this effect and its mechanisms have not been directly verified, especially for adolescents. This study examines the association between physical activity and interpersonal adaptation in adolescents through self-esteem and psychological resilience after the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. Participants included 542 Chinese adolescents (aged 13-18 years; 242 boys and 300 girls). Adolescents in China anonymously completed a series of questionnaires, including the PARS-3 Scale of PE Activity Grade (PARS-3), the Self-esteem Scale (SES), the Resilience Scale for Adolescents (RSCA), and the Interpersonal Adaptation Scale. The results showed that physical activity positively correlated with self-esteem, psychological resilience, and interpersonal adaptation. Additionally, self-esteem and psychological resilience serially mediated the impact of physical activity on interpersonal adaptation. The findings highlight the positive impact of physical activity on adolescent interpersonal adaptation by strengthening positive psychological resources in the post-pandemic era.

National security has become a significant force in the current state. In war, a strategy is the basic unit of defense in any country. There are many concerns about these personnel fighters' fitness using smart sensors to be familiar with GPS (Global Positioning System). Used to solve and log in range, of GPS bearer can get to know well without any problems. The worker at the base station will give an association using a single worker telecommunication system. Each cavalry has a GSMC (Global System Mobile Communications) module for the base station during injury and disaster, and its recognition applies. During the war that put forward the concept of component, soldiers are now a GPS lighthouse-like soldier's updated state. As the discovery progressed, images were taken to monitor the human body's physiological boundaries from various wearable senses. Such physiological and biomedical sensor centers can use the Body Sensor Network (BSN), close to or inside the human body, for periodic welfare surveys. Will design a series of efforts to establish a framework for field studies of relentless welfare fighters, including BSNs. Talk about the basics of this joint venture application. Propose an application that affects the initial model characterization and source boundary of the framework. A high mental quality employee should have an average product volume (P <0.05) of 66% higher than the average of low mental quality players. The 'administrative law enforcement' for military veterans are between real arrangements in different areas.

This study applied self-determination theory to examine Chinese college women motivational profiles and their association with physical activity involvement, health-related quality of life, and physical fitness. 292 Chinese college women completed questionnaires assessing relevant psychological constructs and physical activity involvement. Their physical fitness was measured based on the China National Fitness Test Program including body shape, pulmonary function, and body fitness. A two-step cluster analysis determined the profiles that resulted from the interactions among motivation variables reflecting the degree of self-determination. Four distinct clusters of college women were identified: low self-determination/high control, low combination, high combination, and high self-determination/low control. There were significant differences among the clusters in physical activity involvement (p < .01, eta(2) = .11), health-related quality of life (p < .01, eta(2) = .18), and physical fitness (p < .01, eta(2) = .04). Findings support the importance of developing self-determination in Chinese college women' physical activity, fitness and health-related quality of life.

Several recent studies revealed that physical activity programs that focus on fundamental motor skills could enhance both motor and social performance. The purpose of this pilot was to explore whether the social impairment of Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD) moderated the motor outcomes of a physical activity program. Nine children with ASD attended a 2-week program that adopted the Classroom Pivotal Response Teaching. Significant improvements on motor skills were found in all participants. Furthermore, children with more social impairment demonstrated greater motor improvement in comparison to those with less social problems. Findings suggest the importance of social factors on the outcomes of physical activity programs and the interplays between social and motor domains in ASD interventions.

The estimated prevalence of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) in China has been consistently lower than most of the studies in the West. The current article addressed several challenges in identifying and diagnosing ASD in mainland China. The underestimated prevalence may due to a variety of reasons, including inconsistencies in screening and diagnostic procedures, variations in translated instruments, and discrepancies between diagnostic criteria. This review provides insight into ASD assessment and diagnosis in the Chinese population and discusses strategies for the further advancement of ASD identification and intervention in mainland China.

The current study examined the augmentation of error feedback on visuomotor adaptability in older adults with varying degrees of cognitive decline (assessed by the Montreal Cognitive Assessment; MoCA). Twenty-three participants performed a center-out computerized visuomotor adaptation task when the visual feedback of their hand movement error was presented in a regular (ratio = 1:1) or enhanced (ratio = 1:2) error feedback schedule. Results showed that older adults with lower scores on the MoCA had less adaptability than those with higher MoCA scores during the regular feedback schedule. However, participants demonstrated similar adaptability during the enhanced feedback schedule, regardless of their cognitive ability. Furthermore, individuals with lower MoCA scores showed larger after-effects in spatial control during the enhanced schedule compared to the regular schedule, whereas individuals with higher MoCA scores displayed the opposite pattern. Additional neuro-cognitive assessments revealed that spatial working memory and processing speed were positively related to motor adaptability during the regular scheduled but negatively related to adaptability during the enhanced schedule. We argue that individuals with mild cognitive decline employed different adaptation strategies when encountering enhanced visual feedback, suggesting older adults with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) may benefit from enhanced visual error feedback during sensorimotor adaptation.
