摘要:
A measurement of
$${{D}} ^0$$
meson production by the LHCb experiment in its fixed-target configuration is presented. The production of
$${{D}} ^0$$
mesons is studied with a beam of 2.5
$$\,\text {Te\hspace{-1.00006pt}V}$$
protons colliding on a gaseous neon target at rest, corresponding to a nucleon–nucleon centre-of-mass energy of
$$\sqrt{s_{\scriptscriptstyle \text {NN}}} = 68.5\,\,\text {Ge\hspace{-1.00006pt}V} $$
. The sum of the
$${{D}} ^0$$
and
$${\hspace{0.0pt}\overline{\hspace{0.0pt}{D}}} {}^0$$
production cross-section in
$$p\text {Ne}$$
collisions in the centre-of-mass rapidity range
$$y^{\star }\in [-2.29, 0]$$
is found to be
$$\sigma _{D^{0}}^{y^\star \in [-2.29, 0]} = 48.2 \pm 0.3 \pm 4.5 \,\upmu \text {b}/\text {nucleon}$$
where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. The
$${{{D}} ^0}-{{\hspace{0.0pt}\overline{\hspace{0.0pt}{D}}} {}^0} $$
production asymmetry is also evaluated and suggests a trend towards negative values at large negative
$$y^{\star }$$
. The considered models do not account precisely for all the features observed in the LHCb data, but theoretical predictions including 1
$$\%$$
intrinsic charm and 10
$$\%$$
recombination contributions better describe the data than the other models considered.

Abstract: Using a quark combination model with the equal-velocity combination approximation, we study the production of hadrons with strangeness and charm flavor quantum numbers in Pb+Pb collisions at s N N = 5.02 TeV. We present analytical expressions and numerical results for these hadrons’ transverse momentum spectra and yield ratios. Our numerical results agree well with the experimental data available. The features of strange and charm hadron production in the quark–gluon plasma at the early stage of heavy ion collisions are also discussed. 摘要:
Within the project of building a beam monitor for the CSR external-target experiment (CEE) at HIRFL, charge sensors that are used in the gaseous ionization detector and in line with the Topmetal principle, are being developed and studied. It integrates in the same chip a topmost metal, which senses the drifting charges, and the readout circuitry. This paper presents the design and preliminary characterization of the first full-sized Topmetal-CEE chip, the Topmetal-CEEv1, which follows this design principle while tailored to the CEE physics programs. It features an enlarged 1 mm x 89 mu m topmost metal per pixel, in-pixel discrimination and sparsified readout, as well as an amplitude measurement with the Time-over-Threshold (TOT) method. The studies are carried out with the injected pulses and the alpha particles from Am-241. The major functionalities of the chip are verified. Its performance pertaining to the usage as charge sensing and readout chip in the beam monitor of CEE are also preliminarily evaluated. It will be used in the upgraded prototype of the beam monitor, superseding the common-purpose Topmetal-II- chip.

摘要:
We study the rotation effects of the hot and dense QCD matter in a non-perturbative regime by the gauge/gravity duality. We use the gravitational model that is designated to match the state-of-the-art lattice data on the thermal properties of (2+1)-flavor QCD and predict the location of the critical endpoint and the first-order phase transition line at large baryon chemical potential without rotation. After introducing the angular velocity via a local Lorentz boost, we investigate the thermodynamic quantities for the system under rotation in a self-consistent way. We find that the critical temperature and baryon chemical potential associated with the QCD phase transition decrease as the angular velocity increases. Moreover, some interesting phenomena are observed near the critical endpoint. We then construct the 3-dimensional phase diagram of the QCD matter in terms of temperature, baryon chemical potential, and angular velocity. As a parallel investigation, we also consider the gravitational model of SU(3) pure gluon system, for which the 2-dimensional phase diagram associated with temperature and angular velocity has been predicted. The corresponding thermodynamic quantities with rotation are investigated.

摘要:
The polarimeter vector field for multibody decays of a spin-half baryon is introduced as a generalisation of the baryon asymmetry parameters. Using a recent amplitude analysis of the
$$ {\Lambda}_c^{+} $$
→ pK−π+ decay performed at the LHCb experiment, we compute the distribution of the kinematic-dependent polarimeter vector for this process in the space of Mandelstam variables to express the polarised decay rate in a model-agnostic form. The obtained representation can facilitate polarisation measurements of the
$$ {\Lambda}_c^{+} $$
baryon and eases inclusion of the
$$ {\Lambda}_c^{+} $$
→ pK−π+ decay mode in hadronic amplitude analyses.
摘要:
The presence of spiral waves in cardiac tissue causes ventricular fibrillation (VF). Clinical studies have demonstrated that reducing the blood temperature to hypothermia can improve the success rate of electrical defibrillation when VF occurs. In this paper, the Hodgkin-Huxley-style model is used to simulate the effects of temperature and electric shock on the spiral waves present in mammalian tissues, and the phase singularity (PS) identification methods are used to track the wave behaviors in network, finally the Luo-Rudy model is used to test the applicability of our results for cardiac tissues. The results show that temperature modulates the optimal parameters for defibrillation: (1) Arnold's tongue structure shows that an alternating electric field close to the tissue natural frequency (e.g.: cardiac sinus rhythm) allows the nodes to be phase-locked or PS directionally drift at a smaller intensity, thus eliminating spiral waves more effectively than a constant electric field. (2) The average node frequency increases with temperature whether the network is synchronized or present spiral waves, and the statistics show that the robustness of electric defibrillation can be enhanced when the tissue is at moderate hypothermia. (3) More interestingly, we define the defibrillation score (DFS) and find that moderate hypothermia is a balance to improves defibrillation success, which may provide some insights for practical defibrillation studies.

摘要:
Binder-free CeO2 coated/Pd-decorated CuxO nanowires (CuxO/Pd/CeO2_NWs) based on Cu foam were synthe-sized using a four-step process: electrochemical nanoengineering for preparing Cu nanowires, galvanic replacement between Cu nanowires and H2PdCl4, soaking in cerous nitrate solution and followed thermal annealing. Due to the optimized Pd thin layer, followed coating of the moisture-blocking CeO2 overlayer, the binder-free Pd-decorated CuxO nanowires exhibit a prominently enhanced sensing properties to H2S. The CuxO/ Pd/CeO2_NWs sensor exhibits a high response of 36.69 to 50 ppm H2S with rapid response/recovery speed (48.9 s/59.1 s), good selectivity and humidity-independent sensing properties at room temperature. Therefore, this work shows promising potential in detecting H2S and a new insight is opened up in designing binder-free devices based on metal substrate for indoor/outdoor environmental monitoring regardless of humidity fluctuations.

摘要:
A search for CP and P violation in charmless four-body B-0 -> p (p) over barK(+)pi(-) decays is performed using triple-product asymmetry observables. It is based on proton-proton collision data collected by the LHCb experiment at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8 and 13 TeV, corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 8.4 fb(-1). The CP- and P-violating asymmetries are measured both in the integrated phase space and in specific regions. No evidence is seen for CP violation. P-parity violation is observed at a significance of 5.8 standard deviations.
摘要:
A specially designed dumbbell type polarization conversion metasurface (PCM) is proposed. The designed PCM achieves line-to-line polarization conversion in ultra-wideband (UWB) from 7.63 GHz to 18.80 GHz. A low-profile metasurface antenna composed of PCM and slot feed is proposed based on characteristic mode analysis (CMA), which realizes the integrated design of radiation and scattering. Because of the checkerboard scattering properties, low-radar cross section (RCS) low-profile multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) antenna and array antenna are designed with PCM. The low-RCS high-isolation low-profile MIMO antenna with size of $1.27 \times 1.27 \times 0.07{\lambda _0}^3$ (λ0: the free-space wavelength corresponding to the center frequency point) operating at 5.8 GHz consists of four orthogonal arranged metasurface antennas. The isolation is greater than 26 dB with impedance bandwidth from 5.51 GHz to 6.06 GHz. In addition, the low-RCS high-gain low-profile array antenna with size of $2.55 \times 2.55 \times 0.07{\lambda _0}^3$ is also designed. The operating band covers from 5.63 GHz to 6.12 GHz with the gain of 12-15.6 dBi. The RCS reduction of the two antennas for normal incidence is between 6 dB and 23 dB in both X- and Ku-bands. The measured results of the antennas agree with the simulated results, which shows that they have potential application value in 5.8 GHz WLAN wireless communication.

摘要:
The decay B- -> Lambda(+)(c)(Lambda) over bar K--(c)- is studied in proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of root s = 13 TeV using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5 fb(-1) collected by the LHCb experiment. In the Lambda K-+(c)- system, the Xi(c)(2930)(0) state observed at the BABAR and Belle experiments is resolved into two narrower states, Xi(c)(2923)(0) and Xi(c)(2939)(0), whose masses and widths are measured to be m(Xi(c)(2930)(0) = 2924.5 +/- 0.4 +/- 1.1 Mev, m Xi(c)(2930)(0)) = 2938.5 +/- 0.9 +/- 2.3 Mev, Gamma(Xi(c)(2930)(0)) = 4.8 +/- 0.9 +/- 1.5 MeV, Gamma(Xi(c)(2930)(0) - 11.0 +/- 1.9 +/- 7.5 MeV, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second systematic. The results are consistent with a previous LHCb measurement using a prompt Lambda K-+(c)- sample. Evidence of a new Xi(c)(2930)(0) state is found with a local significance of 3.8 sigma, whose mass and width are measured to be 2881.8 +/- 3.1 +/- 8.5 MeV and 12.4 +/- 5.3 +/- 5.8 MeV, respectively. In addition, evidence of a new decay mode Xi(c)(2930)(0) -> Lambda K-+(c) is found with a significance of 3.7 sigma. The relative branching fraction of B- -> Lambda(+)(c)(Lambda) over bar K--(c)- with respect to the B- -> D+D-K- decay is measured to be 2.36 +/- 0.11 +/- 0.22 +/- 0.25, where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second systematic and the third originates from the branching fractions of charm hadron decays.

摘要:
This article presents the first measurement of the differential Z-boson production cross-section in the forward region using proton-lead collisions with the LHCb detector. The dataset was collected at a nucleon-nucleon centre-of-mass energy of
$$ \sqrt{s_{\textrm{NN}}} $$
= 8.16 TeV in 2016, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 30.8 nb−1. The forward-backward ratio and the nuclear modification factors are measured together with the differential cross-section as functions of the Z boson rapidity in the centre-of-mass frame, the transverse momentum of the Z boson and a geometric variable ϕ*. The results are in good agreement with the predictions from nuclear parton distribution functions, providing strong constraining power at small Bjorken-x.

Abstract: In this study, a dual-polarization and low-profile frequency-selective rasorber (FSR) constructed from a novel band-patterned octagonal ring and dipole slot-type elements is investigated. We show the process of designing from a full octagonal ring to realize a lossy frequency selective surface of our proposed FSR, and it has a passband with low insertion loss between the two absorptive bands. An equivalent circuit for our designed FSR is modeled to explain the introduction of the parallel resonance. Surface current, electric energy, and magnetic energy of the FSR are further investigated to illustrate the working mechanism. Simulated results indicate that S11 < −10 dB bandwidth within 5.2–14.8 GHz, S21 > −3 dB passband within 9.62–11.72 GHz, lower absorptive bandwidth within 5.02–8.80 GHz, and upper absorptive bandwidth within 12.94–14.89 GHz are obtained under normal incidence. Meanwhile, our proposed FSR possesses the properties of dual-polarization and angular stability. To verify the simulated results, a sample with thickness of 0.097 λL is manufactured, and the results are experimentally verified. Keywords: frequency selective rasorber; dual-polarization; low-profile; in-band; band-patterned octagonal ring

摘要:
We investigate hyperon polarization and its relation with the directed flow of quark-gluon plasma (QGP) in noncentral Au + Au collisions at root sNN = 27 GeV. A modified three-dimensional Glauber model is developed and coupled to a (3 + 1)-dimensional viscous hydrodynamic evolution of the QGP. Within this framework, we obtain a satisfactory simultaneous description of the directed flow of identified particles and A polarization, and we show a sensitivity of polarization to both the tilted geometry and the longitudinal flow profile of the QGP. A nonmonotonic transverse momentum dependence of the A polarization is found in our calculation, which is absent from hydrodynamic simulation using other initialization methods, and it can be tested by future experimental data with higher precision. The relation between global polarization and the directed flow of A is explored as the longitudinal flow field or the medium deformation varies. Due to the common origin of these two observables, their combination may provide a more stringent constraint on the initial condition of the QGP.

摘要:
Inkjet printing has drawn widespread attention and is considered as one of the most promising technologies for mass manufacturing of optoelectronic devices. Herein, we elaborate a novel strategy to modulate the morphologies of inkjet-printed thin films by optimizing the ink formulation and suppressing the coffee-ring effect, combining the approach of in situ post-synthesis based on Lewis acid–base interactions. Luminescent Lewis acid–base adducts are created immediately during inkjet printing, i.e., in situ post-synthesis based on coordination chemistry. The electron-deficient aryl borane was employed as Lewis acid to trigger the coordination interaction with a Lewis base of a nitrogen-containing fluorescent material, which resulted in the rearrangement of the frontier molecular orbitals. Most likely, a reduced singlet–triplet energy gap and charge transfer would be detectable if the Lewis base is a conjugated fluorophore. This exemplifies the great potential of In situ post-synthesis strategy in the design of new luminescent materials for light-emitting diodes and encryption via inkjet printing.
