Based on the corpus of news discourses in Macau and Mainland,this article studies the lexical differences in the two places. The research of two similar-sized samples from the corpus shows that there are great differences in lexical frequency, distinct usage of shared words,unique local words,polysemy,words in the same form but with different parts of speech and so on.
