事件背景类时间复句可以分为同时性、先时性和后时性三类。先时性事件背景类时间复句的特点是，以时间分句所述事件作为参照点，正分句所述事件先于它发生。这类复句最主要的标记是“已经”，它用于正分句，从而形成“VP1，已经VP2”的基本句式。这一句式包括“等（到）VP1，已经VP2”、“刚（刚）VP1，已经VP2”、“（还）没（有）VP1，已经VP2”、“正VP1，已经VP2”等下位句式。

The event-grounded compound sentences of time can be classified into three types：the anterior, the simultaneous and the posterior. The characteristic of the anterior event-grounded compound sentences of time finds expression in the event reference of the clause of time while the event of the main clause occurs before that of the clause of time.
