作为当下中西文化交流中某些问题的投射，萨义德东方学中的学术发现和相应困难尤需要得到深刻反思，东方作为小写他者所带来的客体化、同质化、差异化研究倾向，以及西方作为大写他者所激发出的功利化、依附化、技术化的学术症候，都是亟需面对和解决的问题。

To resolve the problems in the cultural communication between China and the west, we should again study the discoveries made and the problems referred to in Said's theory of Orientalism.
