近代"反缠足"运动逐步兴起,成为女权运动的重要内容之一.大公报从阐明缠足的非正统性和不合理性、"官为提倡"和民间推动相结合、大兴女学成立放足会以及树立新型婚姻观念等方面入手,推动了"反缠足"运动的进行,对于近代妇女解放运动的发展产生了深远的影响.
