The influence of atomic coherence on collapse and revival phenomenon in the k-photon Jaynes-Cummings model was investigated. The system considered in this study is a two-level atom interacting with a single-mode quantized field via the k-photon transition mechanism. The mathematical expression for the atomic inversion was derived. The equation is suitable for the general case.
