NiO-MgO nano-particles were successfully prepared by the hydrothermal method with NiSO4 and MgSO4 as raw material. Microstructure and morphology of the product were characterized by means of scan electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy. The results show the particle has a sphere-like apparent structure, and the diameter of the particle is in a range of 10 - 40 nm.
