《现代汉语词典》(第6版)因收录"西文字母开头的词语"而被举报。本文运用法律解释方法对《现汉》是否违法问题进行分析,以期对事实认定提供参考。论文既对法律规范即《中华人民共和国国家通用语言文字法》相关条文的确切含义进行解读,又对事实小前提中的核心问题即《现汉》收录的"西文字母开头的词语"是什么性质的词语进行分析。

The Modern Chinese Dictionary （the 6th edition） was reported violating law as a result of including ＂words starting with Western language letters＂. Employing the method of legal interpretation, this paper makes an analysis on the lawfulness of this practice by the Modern Chinese Dictionary to provide reference for the confirmation of facts.
