通过介绍IPTV所涉及关键技术及功能特点,详细阐述了IPTV技术在网络教育中应用,重点分析了基于IPTV技术的网络教育与传统的网络远程敦育的比较分析以及IPTV,技术环境下所提供的新型网络教育服务.并以此为依据举例说明基于IPTV技术环境下网络远程教育平台的应用,并结合现阶段网络资源建设的实际情况以Internet网、TV为例,详细描述了IPTV网络远程教育平台在现代远程教育中运行原理、过程以及所带来的优越性.最后对IPTV技术环境下网络远程教育在现代远程教育领域中的应用前景作了一个实际分析与展望.

IPTV technology and its application in the network education were elaborated through the presentation of the critical technology and functional characteristics of IPTV in the present paper. At the same time,Web - based education based on IPTV application model and the traditional distance education were compared and the new network education service on the environment of IPTV technology was investigated.
