p-Hydroxyphenylpyruvate dioxygenase (HPPD) is one of the most important targets for herbicide discovery. In this work, a series of benzothiadiazole-containing pyrazoles were designed as novel HPPD inhibitors by scaffold hopping strategy. Their biological activity was evaluated at both enzyme as well as crops level. The structure-activity relationships were also analyzed.
