Transcription factors GhERF108 and GhARF7 interact to establish ethylene-auxin crosstalk, which activates downstream secondary cell wall (SCW)-related genes to facilitate fiber SCW formation in cotton. Phytohormones play indispensable roles in plant growth and development.
