In this study, a coumarin-semirhodamine hybrid based dual-channel fluorescent probe was developed for detection of peroxynitrite. This probe works well in nearly pure aqueous solution and displays a rapid, highly sensitive and selective response for peroxynitrite at two different emission wavelengths (700 and 515 nm, respectively), along with distinct color and green to near-infrared fluorescence changes.
