The quantitative dependence of quark-gluon plasma (QGP)-formation probability ( PQGP) on the centrality of Au−Au collisions is studied using a bond percolation model. The PQGP versus the maximum distance Smax for a bond to form is calculated from the model for various nuclei and the PQGP at different centralities of Au−Au collisions for the given Smax are obtained therefrom. The experimental data of the nuclear modification factor RAA(pT) for the most central Au−Au collisions at sNN=200 and 130 GeV are utilized to transform Smax to sNN. The...
