A sensitive extraction and instrumental method was established to detect topramezone and its metabolite (M670H05) in maize and animal-origin foods. Two years of field experiments were carried out to study the dissipation dynamics of topramezone in maize straw, and their residue levels of actual samples collected from the supermarket were determined. They were extracted using liquid-liquid extraction (LLE), and ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry was used for detection.
