“四·一二”政变后共产国际对于中国革命政策转变未能实现的原因是多方面的。首先 ,远离中国革命的斯大林 ,对瞬息万变的中国革命实际并不了解 ,所提出的政策转变 ,不符合中国实际。第二 ,共产国际代表罗易、鲍罗廷在对中国革命基本问题的看法上 ,一直存在严重分歧 ,没有统一的意见。第三 ,陈独秀推行右倾机会主义路线 ,自动放弃无产阶级对统一战线的领导权 ,对国民党右派一再妥协、退让

There are different reasons for the Communist International's failure to transform its policy on Chinese Revolution after the April 12th Incident. Firstly, Stalin, the chief leader of the Communist International was so far away from China that he didn't know clearly the fast changing reality of Chinese Revolution and the policy he proposed didn't suit the existing reality. Secondly, Roy and Bao Luo tin, both of whom were delegates of the Communist International were heavily divided on the fundamental issues about Chinese Revolution.
