The title compound, C13H14ClN7, crystallizes with two independent molecules in the asymmetric unit, with little conformational difference between them. The triazole ring is almost coplanar with the pyrimidine ring. Intramolecular CH⋯N and intermolecular C-H⋯N and N-H⋯N hydrogen-bonding interactions contribute to the stability of the structure.
