In order to explore the relationships among learning performance, field independent-dependent cognitive styles and teaching modes, and to test what kind of cognitive styles are suitable for what kind of teaching modes, an experimental study was conducted on 90 college students. Participants were assigned to one of three teaching modes: traditional classroom, online learning, and flipped classroom.
