Rapid monitoring of soil organic carbon (SOC) with fine sampling resolution is vital for further understanding of the global carbon cycle and sustainable management of soil resources. Proximal visible and near-infrared (Vis–NIR) spectroscopy is an effective approach to analyze SOC.
