语言是文化的载体，习语是语言的精华。而对英汉习语文化内涵差异的了解对习语的翻译有着重要意义。文章在探讨英汉习语文化内涵差异的基础上提出了四种翻译方法：直译法、意译法、译语同义习语套用法、加注法。

Culture is expressed in language while idioms are the cream of language. So the understanding of the English and Chinese cultural difference is of great importance.
