重大现实题材电视剧聚焦新中国历史上的重大事件与时间节点，通过植根现实生活、形塑人物群像和寓见时代景观，形成对主旋律意蕴的价值关涉。作为重大历史节点推出的现实题材精品之作，《人世间》将变迁的时代场景与人物的生命经验进行要素组合，历时性地再现了新中国城市民众生活的影像志。其中又以女性人物塑造和群像展演作为经典叙述文本，揭晓了隐秘于社会发展之中的妇女解放历史。在深层次地表达文本意蕴中，《人世间》完成重大现实题材电视剧创作的主题指认。
