Transmitted-Reference Ultra Wideband (TR-UWB) systems adopt autocorrelation receiver (AcR) as a suboptimal receiver, which offers a good performance but a simple structure. In order to enhance the performance of the AcR without increasing the complexity of the receiver structure, some improvement is made in this paper. We combine a limited number of multipath to capture enough received signal energy and suppress the noise by averaging the received signals.
