In view of the actual situation of mobile phone use in China, this study selected 700 college students as subjects to develop the Mobile Phone Addiction Scale (MPAS). By means of item analysis and Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA), we got 16 items. The results indicat that the scale consisted of four dimensions, including withdrawal symptoms, salience, social comfort and mood changes.
