Based on the monthly mean data, the characteristics of 3-5 year period of air temperature in Hubei Province and its association with 3 - 5 year low-frequency variation of the 500hpa height field in the Northern Hemisphere are analysed. It is shown that the 3- 5 year period fluctuation of interannual temperatUre variation is significant, and is related to 3 - 5 year fluctuation of N. H. 500hPa circulation.
