Five new xanthones, namely Garcinexanthones A-E (1-5), were isolated from the barks of Garcinia xanthochymus. Their structures were elucidated by spectral analysis, primarily NMR, MS, and UV. The complete assignments of the H-1 NMR and C-13 NMR chemical shifts for the compounds were achieved by using D-1 and D-2 NMR techniques, including DEPT, HSQC, and HMBC NMR exper...
