限域性介词的特点是:用于特定的历史时期,宾语的语义范围非常有限,一般会终止介词化,退出介词系统。限域性介词的语法性质是动词局限性语法化,其介词化的动因主要是源动词的语义溢出,其终止语法化的动因是介词系统内部的成员竞争。从限域性介词可以观察到汉语语法化的某些特点。

The characters of limited domanial prepositions are： they are used in the specific historical periods, having a considerably limited range of objects＇ semantics, and they will terminate prepositionalization generally and exit prepositional system.
