Table 2 displays a variety of tools that have been developed for evaluating pesticide exposure in the air, water and soil. Given these tools were developed based on the different data, methods and application places, it is inappropriate to compare them systematically. Here, we discussed the application scopes, data analysis, objectives and prediction accuracy of each tool.

Pesticides are indispensable to maintain crop quality and food production worldwide, but their use also poses environmental risks. Pesticide risk assessment involves a series of complex, expensive and time-consuming toxicity tests.
