建成体育强国是中华民族伟大复兴的标志性事业，党的二十大报告提出要加快建设体育强国。加快体育强国建设需确定体育强国建设的优先发展领域。研究分析、梳理了青少年体育与学校体育战略重点地位的政策法规依据，通过对青少年体育与学校体育的关系辨析，提出学校体育应是优先发展领域的基本认识，并针对体育强国建设的五大战略任务，论述了优先发展学校体育是建成体育强国的必然性。
