We present a metamaterial polarization converter consisting of a spindle-shaped metal top and a gradient grating-like metal bottom. It can realize half reflection and half transmission cross-polarization conversion. The simulation and experimental results show that the metamaterial polarization converter can realize the half reflection and half transmission cross-polarization conversion at 12.51 GHz-13.67 GHz, and realize the transmission cross-polarization conversion at 2.58 GHz-14.85 GHz.
