Reducing energy consumption and prolonging the network lifetime were important targets of Wireless sensor networks (WSNs). Based on LEACH, this paper proposed a Cluster-centre and Energy-based Balanced Distributed Clustering algorithm (CEBDC) for WSNs. CEBDC balanced the clusters to reduce energy consumption.
