湖北省林业厅“洪湖湿地生物资源调查”项目；

1996年-1997年对洪湖的鸟类调察中共记录到130种鸟类,隶属16目、40科,比1981年-1982年减少2科、37种,但有7种为首次记录。以冬候鸟为主体(冬候鸟37%、夏候鸟26%、留鸟26%、旅鸟12%)。冬春季狩猎水禽数量逐渐减少,鸭属的捕获量下降至10%,骨顶鸡(Fulica atra)上升到90%。发现国家重点保护野生动物16种:I级4种、II级12种。

130 species birds were recorded in the investigation of the Honghu wet-land during 1996-1997,belonging to 16 orders, 40 families. Compared with recordof 1981-1982, birds in honghu witland reduced 2 families, 37 species and firstrecorded 7 species. Most of the birds are winter migrant (winter migrant 36 %,sum-mer migrant 26%, resident 26% travelling bird 12% ), the catch of hunting waterbirds is reduced gradually in winter and spring, the catch of Anas is reduced to10%.
