The present thesis, based on the Chinese-English (C-E) parallel corpus of tourism and English comparable corpus of tourism, makes an exploration of the lexical features of C-E translations of tourism texts and C-E tourism translation. The study finds that, translated English tourism texts (TETT) and original English tourism texts (OETT) are very similar in their lexical difficulty, with the former' s lexical difficulty being slightly lower than the latter's, though there is no significant difference between them.
