威仪是先秦贵族所追求的一种理想的人格状态,其着眼点在于区分君臣之名分,内容则不止于仪容举止和精神面貌一面,还包括君子的德政行为.因而在西周至春秋时期,威仪作为一种政治礼仪形式,成为“周文”的外在呈现方式.周人正是通过对君子威仪的观察,来反思“周文”所蕴含的价值系统,以实现其在政治文化中的实际效用.
