作者与“台湾”民国史研究者接触较早,交流甚多,或可算是两岸学术交流的先驱之一.特别是1986年以后,作者与华中师范大学及其历史研究所同仁更成为两岸交流的积极推动者.作者根据30年的亲身经历,认为两岸民国史研究交流可划分为三个阶段:(1)神交阶段(1979年以前)、初交阶段(1979-1993)、深交阶段(1993-).两岸学术交流,顺乎潮流,切合民意.
