抗战胜利后,南京国民政府极为重视台湾地区重建,并采取了多种举措重塑台湾地区社会的集体记忆和国家认同。基于此,光复初期台湾地区举办了形式多样、内容丰富的展览活动,先是以展陈政治军事照片为主,随后以国货展览为多,至中国台湾省博览会时期则着重呈现“全省各项建设成绩”。期间,两岸工商界往来频繁,或互邀参展,或联合办展。这些展览活动不仅有助于重塑台湾地区社会的时空感知和文化认同,也密切了两岸的互动关系,进而强化了国民政府在台湾地区的政治整合。中国台湾省博览会旨在展示国民政府的治台政绩,但也折射出战后台湾地区政治社会和民众心理的复杂面相。
