袁河锣鼓戏是流行于江西宜春等地的地方戏曲之一。袁河锣鼓戏舞台语音系统有21个声母、49个韵母、5个声调。袁河锣鼓戏的音系与宜春方言音系之间具有较高的一致性。袁河锣鼓戏有独特的音韵特点。袁河锣鼓戏舞台语言属于带有浓郁赣语色彩的地方官话。袁河锣鼓戏韵辙可归纳为“二十七部”。
