篮球传统项目学校是中国篮球后备人才培养的重要基地,在中国篮球事业的发展中作出了显著的贡献。时至今日,中国的顶级男子篮球职业联赛（CBA联赛）上没有一家湖北省的篮球俱乐部,说明湖北省男子篮球后备人才培养上存在一定的问题,针对这些现象,运用调查法、访谈法、逻辑分析法等研究方法对湖北省篮球传统项目学校的建设问题进行研究,阐述湖北省传统项目学校发展中存在的各种问题。提出湖北省篮球传统项目学校发展应该在学校、教练员、运动员等方面加以提高,解决＂学训矛盾＂和提高经费的投入。
