The conversion of lignin into light olefins and aromatic compounds via catalytic fast pyrolysis was performed in a fixed bed reactor over a range of Fe-modified ZSM-5 catalysts at different temperatures. More specifically, catalysts containing 0, 1, 3, 6, and 9 wt.% Fe were prepared by an impregnation method, and the resulting catalysts were characterized by XRD, NH 3 -TPD, H 2 -TPR and BET analysis.
