Based on the Nagel-Schreckenberg (NS) model with periodic boundary conditions, weproposed the NSOS model by adding the overtaking strategy (OS). In our model, overtakingvehicles are randomly selected with probability q at each time step, and the successful overtakingis determined by their velocities.
