Our primary goal was to examine the temporal relationship between online PNS (autonomy; competency; relatedness) and social networking addiction. A sample of 384 Chinese adolescents aged from 11 to 14years (baseline Mage = 12.71years, SD = 0.64) finished the anonymous questionnaires about online PNS and social networking addiction on two measurement occasions across 2years.
