In recent years, the Chinese Central Government has put great emphasis on the marine economy, since it has been a new driving force of the national economic development. Yet, the relationship between marine economic development and energy efficiency remains unknown. In this paper, we investigate whether marine economic development affected energy efficiency. We focused on the Zhoushan Archipelago, the first National New Area for marine economic development in China. We applied panel data approach to construct the counterfactual of Zhoushan Archipelago. We compared Zhoushan and its counterfactual, the synthetic Zhoushan, and viewed the difference between them, after the Zhoushan Archipelago New Area, as the impact of marine economic development on energy efficiency. We found that compared with its counterfactual, the real Zhoushan had a more substantial improvement in energy efficiency after the National New Area construction. We estimated that the construction of the National New Area for Marine Economy increased energy efficiency by about 10 percentage points. We also applied the bootstrapping technique to illustrate the significance of the estimated results. The results suggest that the Zhoushan Archipelago New Area construction had a statistically significant impact on energy efficiency. In addition, we conducted two tests, including leave-one-out tests and permutation tests, to check the robustness of estimated results, which also serve as an illustration of significance of the estimated results from an alternative empirical perspective. The results from these two tests are similar to each other, both indicating that the Zhoushan Archipelago New Area construction had a statistically significant positive impact on energy efficiency. Overall, our results suggest that marine economic development had a sizable improvement in energy efficiency.

In this paper, we mainly consider the relative isoperimetric inequalities for minimal submanifolds with free boundary. We first generalize ideas of restricted normal cones introduced by Choe-Ghomi-Ritore in [10] and obtain an optimal area estimate for generalized restricted normal cones. This area estimate, together with the ABP method of Cabre in [5], provides a new proof of the relative isoperimetric inequality obtained by Choe-Ghomi-Ritore in [11]. Furthermore, we use this estimate and the idea of Brendle in his recent work [3] to obtain a relative isoperimetric inequality for minimal submanifolds with free boundary on a convex support surface in Rn+m, which is optimal and gives an affirmative answer to an open problem proposed by Choe in [9], Open Problem 12.6, when the codimension m <= 2. 摘要:
We study the spectra for a class of differential operators with asymptotically constant coefficients. These operators widely arise as the linearizations of nonlinear partial differential equations about patterns or nonlinear waves. We present a unified framework to prove the perturbation results on the related spectra. The proof is based on exponential dichotomies and the Brouwer degree theory. As applications, we employ the developed theory to study the stability of quasi-periodic solutions of the Ginzburg-Landau equation, fold-Hopf bifurcating periodic solutions of reaction-diffusion systems coupled with ordinary differential equations, and periodic annulus of the hyperbolic Burgers-Fisher model.& COPY; 2023 Elsevier B.V. This paper is devoted to a class of singularly perturbed nonlinear Schrodinger systems defined on a smooth bounded domain in R-N(N = 2,3). We use the Lyapunov-Schmidt reduction method to construct synchronized vector solutions with multiple spikes both on the boundary and in the interior of the domain. For each vector solution that has been constructed, we point out that the interior spikes locate near sphere packing points in the domain, and the boundary spikes locate near the critical points of the mean curvature function related to the boundary of the domain.

Let R be a commutative Noetherian ring. We prove that if R is either an equidimensional finitely generated algebra over a perfect field, or an equidimensional equicharacteristic complete local ring with a perfect residue field, then the annihilator of the singularity category of R coincides with the Jacobian ideal of R up to radical. We establish a relationship between the annihilator of the singularity category of R and the cohomological annihilator of R under some mild assumptions. Finally, we give an upper bound for the dimension of the singularity category of an equicharacteristic excellent local ring with isolated singularity. This extends a result of Dao and Takahashi to non-Cohen-Macaulay rings.

Let. be a symmetric measure of Lebesgue type, i.e., rho = 1/2 (mu X delta(0) + delta(0) x mu), where the component measure mu is the Lebesguemeasure supported on [t, t + 1] for t is an element of Q\{- 1/2} and delta(0) is the Dirac measure at 0. We prove that rho is a spectral measure if and only if t is an element of 1/2Z. In this case, L-2(rho) has a unique orthonormal basis of the form {e(2 pi i(lambda x-lambda y)) : lambda is an element of Lambda(0) }, where Lambda(0) is the spectrum of the Lebesgue measure supported on [-t - 1,-t]boolean OR[t, t + 1]. Our result answers some questions raised by Lai, Liu and Prince [ JFA, 2021].

In this article, we consider the following Schrodinger-Poisson problem: {-epsilon(2)Delta u + V(y)u + Phi(y)u = vertical bar u vertical bar(p-1)u, y is an element of R-3, -Delta Phi(y) = u(2), y is an element of R-3, where epsilon > 0 is a small parameter, 1 < p < 5, and V(y) is a potential function. We construct multi-peak solution concentrating at the critical points of V(y) through the Lyapunov-Schmidt reduction method. Moreover, by using blow-up analysis and local Pohozaev identities, we prove that the multi-peak solution we construct is non-degenerate. To our knowledge, it seems be the first non-degeneracy result on the Schodinger-Poisson system.

摘要:
In this paper, we proposed the average Lee discrepancy to measure the uniformity of designs and studied its connection with the standard optimality measures used in the context of design of experiments. Lower bounds to such measure are provided as a benchmark to obtain uniform designs. We also defined the minimum average Lee-moment aberration criterion used to compare and screen the optimal design, and some lower bounds to such criterion are also provided.

In the current paper, the best linear unbiased estimators (BLUEs) of location and scale parameters from location-scale family will be respectively proposed in cases when one parameter is known and when both are unknown under moving extremes ranked set sampling (MERSS). Explicit mathematical expressions of these estimators and their variances are derived. Their relative efficiencies with respect to the minimum variance unbiased estimators (MVUEs) under simple random sampling (SRS) are compared for the cases of some usual distributions. The numerical results show that the BLUEs under MERSS are significantly more efficient than the MVUEs under SRS.

In this paper, we investigate an inverse source problem for the two-dimensional Helmholtz equation in a two-layered medium. The interface between two media is assumed to be nonlocal and rough, while the compactly supported unknown source is buried in the lower-half medium. For the forward problem, we prove the radiating behaviour of the wave field based on the Angular Spectrum Representation and the asymptotics of Hankel functions. For the inverse problem, using multi-frequency interface measurements, which are limited-aperture, we show an increasing stability estimate which consists of two parts: one part is a Holder stability estimate, the other part is a logarithmic stability estimate. The latter decreases as the upper bound of the frequency increases. In the derivation of the stability, we require the source function to have an H-3 regularity to control the high frequency tail of its Fourier transform. To recover the source numerically, we propose a recursive Kaczmarz-Landweber iteration scheme with incomplete data. Numerical examples are presented to justify the theoretical stability estimate and validity of the scheme.

It is well known that Keller-Segel models serve as a paradigm to describe the self aggregation phenomenon, which exists in a variety of biological processes such as wound healing, tumor growth, etc. In this paper, we study the existence of monotone decreasing spiky steady state and its linear stability property in the Keller-Segel model with logistic growth over one-dimensional bounded domain subject to homogeneous Neumann boundary conditions. Under the assumption that chemo-attractive coefficient is asymptotically large, we construct the single boundary spike and next show this non-constant steady state is locally linear stable via Lyapunov-Schmidt reduction method. As a consequence, the multi-symmetric spikes are obtained by reflection and periodic extension. In particular, we present the formal analysis to illustrate our rigorous theoretical results.

Advances in biologic technology enable researchers to obtain a huge amount of genetic and genomic data, whose dimensions are often quite high on both phenotypes and variants. Testing their association with multiple phenotypes has been a hot topic in recent years. Traditional single phenotype multiple variant analysis has to be adjusted for multiple testing and thus suffers from substantial power loss due to ignorance of correlation across phenotypes. Similarity-based method, which uses the trace of product of two similarity matrices as a test statistic, has emerged as a useful tool to handle this problem. However, it loses power when the correlation strength within multiple phenotypes is middle or strong, for some signals represented by the eigenvalues of phenotypic similarity matrix are masked by others. We propose a divided-and-combined omnibus test to handle this drawback of the similarity-based method. Based on the divided-and-combined strategy, we first divide signals into two groups in a series of cut points according to eigenvalues of the phenotypic similarity matrix and combine analysis results via the Cauchy-combined method to reach a final statistic. Extensive simulations and application to a pig data demonstrate that the proposed statistic is much more powerful and robust than the original test under most of the considered scenarios, and sometimes the power increase can be more than 0.6. Divided-and-combined omnibus test facilitates genetic association analysis with high-dimensional data and achieves much higher power than the existing similarity based method. In fact, divided-and-combined omnibus test can be used whenever the association analysis between two multivariate variables needs to be conducted.

摘要:
In this paper, we study the zero dissipation limit with a vacuum for the reacting mixture Navier-Stokes equations. For proper smooth initial data that the initial density tends to zero as the relevant physical coefficients tend to zero, we demonstrate that the solution tends to a rarefaction wave connected to a vacuum on the left side coupled with a zero mass fraction of reactant. What is more, the uniform convergence rate is obtained.

We study detection of genuine multipartite entanglement based on one-particle loss operator. We obtain a criterion on detecting genuine pure tripartite entanglement. The results are then generalized to arbitrary pure multipartite states. For mixed states by using the correlation tensors of the Bloch representation of density matrices, we obtain an effective criterion of arbitrary dimensional genuine tripartite entanglement. Detailed examples are given to show that our criterion is able to detect more genuine tripartite entanglement states than some existing criteria.

Let V be a bounded potential. We prove a Holder stability estimate of determining the potential V from the boundary spectral data of the biharmonic operator Delta(2)+ V. The boundary spectral data consists of the Dirichlet eigenvalues lambda(k) and the normal derivatives of the eigenfunctions partial derivative(v)phi(k), partial derivative(v Delta)phi(k)on the boundary of a bounded domain. We prove an increasing stability estimate for an inverse source problem of the diffusion equation with a nontrivial variable absorption coefficient in R3. The stability estimate consists of two parts: the Lipschitz type data discrepancy and the high frequency tail of the source function. The latter decreases when the upper bound of the frequency increases. The proof is based on an exact observability bound for the heat equation and the resolvent estimates for the elliptic operator. In particular, to justify the Fourier transform and obtain Plancherel's theorem for the time-domain Cauchy data on the boundary, we derive certain appropriate time decay estimates for the heat equation using semigroup theory.

Drug resistance is one of the most intractable issues associated with cancer treatment in clinical practice. Mathematical models provide an analytic framework for facilitating the understanding of resistance evolution dynamics and the design of cancer clinical trial. In this paper, we develop an elementary, compartmental mathematical model for absolute drug resistance, focusing on the effects of point mutations in genetic drivers of malignancy. A set of ordinary differential equations (ODEs) is used to describe the dynamics of competing heterogeneous cancer cell populations while taking account of pharmacokinetics. All possible equilibria and their local geometric properties are analyzed, with the result suggests that the system exhibits bistable dynamics. The existence of optimal treatment time is discussed. To identify the critical parameters which influence cellular dynamics, we also perform parameter sensitivity analysis. Finally, numerical simulations are presented to verify the feasibilities of our analytical results and to find that the pre-existence of resistant cell phenotypes contributes more than resistant mutants generated during the treatment phase.

Let F denote a set of graphs. A graph G is said to be F-free if it does not contain any element of F as a subgraph. The Turan number is the maximum possible number of edges in an F-free graph with n vertices. It is well known that classical Turan type extremal problem aims to study the Turan number of fixed graphs. In 2010, Nikiforov [17] proposed analogously a spectral Turan type problem which asks to determine the maximum spectral radius of an F-free graph with n vertices. It attracts much attention and many such problems remained elusive open even after serious attempts, and so they are considered as one of the most intriguing problems in spectral extremal graph theory. It is interesting to consider another spectral Turan type problem which asks to determine the maximum spectral radius of an F-free graph with m edges. Denote by Q(m, F) the set of F-free graphs with m edges having no isolated vertices. Each of the graphs among Q(m, F) having the largest spectral radius is called a maximal graph. Let 9p,q,r be a theta graph formed by connecting two distinct vertices with three independent paths of length p, q and r, respectively (length refers to the number of edges). In this paper, we firstly determine the unique maximal graph among Q(m, 91,2,3) and Q(m, 91,2,4), respectively. Then we determine all the maximal graphs among Q(m, C5) (resp.
