The dynamical properties of quantum entanglement in the integrable Jaynes–Cummings model with a Kerr nonlinearity are studied in terms of the reduced-density linear entropy with various Kerr coupling parameters and initial states, where the initial states are prepared by the coherent states placed in the corresponding phase space described in terms of canonical variables. The mean entanglement averaged over time is employed to investigate the behavior of entanglement of those coherent states. It is shown that the mean entanglement of the coherent states put near the centers of periodic orbits, both with a strong Kerr coupling and without a Kerr coupling, tends to be the minimal, and that the mean entanglement of the coherent states centered near the boundary with a strong Kerr coupling is the minimal while that without Kerr coupling is the maximal.

The dynamical entanglement of two stretching vibrations of triatomic molecules H2O and SO2 in an algebraic model is studied in terms of the reduced-density linear entropy with initial states that are, respectively, taken to be the product of Fock states and coherent states on each bond. It is shown that the entanglement of initial states with local-mode character is regular while that of states with normal-mode character is irregular. For initial coherent states with a small amplitude, the regularity of the entanglement with a long period appears in SO2 and “classical” beat phenomena of the entanglement happens in H2O, where the period of the beat is longer. Those long periods of the entanglement indicate that the entanglement sustains long enough so that quantum information process and quantum computation could be accomplished.

In this Brief Report the properties of both dynamical and static entanglement in the integrable quantum dimer are studied in terms of the reduced-density linear entropy and von Neumann entropy with various coupling parameters, total boson numbers, and initial states. The mean entanglement, which is defined to be averaged over time, is used to describe the influence of the classical separatrix on the behavior of entanglement. It is shown that the mean entanglement exhibits a maximum near the position of the corresponding classical separatrix energy and that the static entanglement of the state with the largest eigenvalue of the quantum spectrum displays a maximum near the bifurcation point. For weak coupling and larger total boson number the maximum entanglement state is exactly at the position of the classical separatrix and bifurcation. In strong coupling all initial states have nearly the same mean entanglement.

摘要:
In distributed computing systems, processes in different hosts take checkpoints to survive failures. For mobile computing systems, due to certain new characteristics such as mobility, low bandwidth, disconnection, low power consumption and limited memory, conventional distributed checkpointing schemes need to be reconsidered. In this paper, a novel min-process coordinated checkpointing algorithm that makes full use of the computation ability and power of mobile support stations is proposed. During normal computation message transmission, the checkpoint dependency information among mobile hosts is recorded in the corresponding mobile support stations. When a checkpointing procedure begins, the initiator concurrently informs relevant mobile hosts, which minimizes the identifying time. Moreover, compared with the existing coordinated checkpointing schemes, our algorithm blocks the minimum number of mobile support stations during the identifying procedure, which leads to the improvement of the system performance. In addition, the proposed algorithm is a min-process, domino-free checkpointing algorithm, which is especially desirable for mobile computing systems. Quantitative analysis and experimental simulation show that our algorithm outperforms other coordinated checkpointing schemes in terms of the identifying time and the number of blocked mobile support stations and then can provide a better system performance for mobile computing systems.
