摘要:
In order to overcome the limitations of global modularity and the deficiency of local modularity, we introduce a hybrid modularity measure LGQ (Local-Global Quantification) which adopts a suitable modularity adjustable parameter to control the balance of global detecting capability and local search capability in Protein-Protein Interaction (PPI) network. On the other hand, a new protein complex mining algorithm called BN-LGQ has been proposed, which integrates the definitions of best neighbor node and the modularity increment. And by comparison with other known algorithms, the experimental results show BN-LGQ performs a better accuracy on predicting protein complexes and has a higher match with the reference protein complexes. Moreover, it can identify protein complexes with better biological significance in PPI network.

摘要:
Knapsack problem is a classical combinatorial optimisation problem. This paper presents greedy continuous particle swarm optimisation (GCPSO) algorithm to solve the knapsack problem. First, the greedy strategy is introduced into the process of particles' initialisation based on standard particle swarm optimisation (SPSO). This strategy guarantees the particle swarm has a better beginning in a degree. Second, based on the analysis of the characteristics of the knapsack problem's solution space, and in terms of the binary code in evolutionary computation, the paper presents multi-state coding. To some extent, the multi-state coding reduces the data redundancy when encoding the solution of the knapsack problem. In experiments, the authors used discrete particle swarm algorithm as well as continuous particle swarm algorithm to find solutions for the knapsack problem. The experimental results show that the GCPSO algorithm provides better solution for the knapsack problems.

摘要:
This paper proposes a dual space diversity technique using both Space Time Block Code (STBC) and mode group diversity multiplexing (MGDM) in an 10 Gbit/s 1km long optical multi-mode fiber (MMF)communication system. The simulation results demonstrate that the system based on STBC+MGDM achieves better performance than that only employing MGDM in the current system.

The influence of IP bursty traffic on combined nonlinear effects of XPM (cross phase modulation) and FWM (four-wave mixing) in IP over WDM networks are investigated and calculated by solving the nonlinear Schrodinger equation (NLSE) using a novel method under two conditions: on---off Poisson distributed IP traffic and self-similar traffic. Different eye diagrams are obtained under various IP traffic types and input optical powers. When the input power of a single channel is larger than 3 dBm, the effect of IP bursty traffic will deteriorate eye diagrams dramatically in a 40-channel WDM network. We also calculate the FWM powers and interchannel power distribution under different IP traffic loads. Based on the interchannel power distribution, we could find out which channels affect the probe channel seriously by the FWM effect. All these numerical results are useful for the Quality-of-Service (QoS) design, traffic grooming, lightpath routing, and wavelength assignment of IP over WDM networks. 摘要:
This article analyzes the nonlinear phase noise caused by an amplified spontaneous-emission of erbium-doped optical fiber amplifier and self-phase modulation (SPM) in a differential phase-shift keying modulation- balanced direct detection optical fiber communication system. Using numerical methods, the characteristic function of the differential nonlinear phase noise cos(Dj){\cos (\Delta \varphi)} in the received electrical current of signals and the accurate computation formula of the BER are achieved when SPM is dominant comparing to cross phase modulation and four wave mixing. The result is verified by a simulation of a 40-Gbit/s transmission system. 摘要:
A novel fast link establishment method based on the combination with Multi protocol Label Switch (MPLS) and mobile agents(MA) for handoff during the mobile IP communication proceeding is proposed. By using the mobile agents for fast automatically information transforming the method can reduce the delay time dramatically. Simulations show that the transmission delay can be reduced to 27 to 41 percents in switching time.

A simple low-cost wavelength-shared WDM-PON (Wavelength-Division Multiplexing Passive Optical Network) system using star-shaped optical fiber couples, one tunable laser, AWG (Array Waveguide Gating) is proposed in this paper. In this simple architecture, a star-shaped optical fiber couple and a tunable laser are used for 32 sources to reduce the cost dramatically. Comparing with the normal OLT(Optical Line Terminal) controlling ONU(Optical Network Unit) software method, a hardware wavelength collision test method to avoid the wavelength collision for upstream channels is used in the novel system which can reduce delay time for upstream channels. Transmission tests show that the system and the method are efficient which are useful in FTTH(Fiber to Home).

This paper presents a novel optimized distributed dynamic wavelength assignment algorithm for the wavelength routing optical network(WRON) based on the revised result of reference[5,6]: Fast Distributed Dynamic Lightpath Setup Algorithm(FDDLSA). By adopting two kinds of new optical link release mechanisms (ahead and timeout release) in the process of networks nodes setting up a link, the new algorithm can reduce the blocking probability significantly and release the burden of a router. The effectiveness of the algorithms was verified through the simulation on NSF net (Nature and Science Foundation) of USA: it can reduce the blocking probability 8% less than reference [5]'s algorithm, at the same time it can reduce the optical path setup time greatly.
