Anti-proton to proton ratios from Au plus Au collisions at root(s)-NN=200 GeV by RQMD

摘要：
Events of Au + Au collisions from AGS to RHIC energies by RQMD (v2.4) generator are produced. (p) over bar /p ratios as functions of rapidity, transverse momentum and centrality at rootS(NN) = 200 GeV are studied. The dependence on the center of mass energy of (p) over bar /p ratios is presented, compared with the experimental results. It is shown that (p) over bar /p ratio from rescattering RQMD is lower than those of the experiments at RHIC energies. We argue that hadronic rescattering at RHIC energies is suppressed compared to AGS, SPS energies.

摘要：
We report high statistics measurements of inclusive charged hadron production in [Formula presented] and [Formula presented] collisions at [Formula presented]. A large, approximately constant hadron suppression is observed in central [Formula presented] collisions for [Formula presented]. The collision energy dependence of the yields and the centrality and [Formula presented] dependence of the suppression provide stringent constraints on theoretical models of suppression. Models incorporating initial-state gluon saturation or partonic energy loss in dense matter are largely consistent with observations. We observe no evidence of [Formula presented]-dependent suppression, which may be expected from models incorporating jet attenuation in cold nuclear matter or scattering of fragmentation hadrons. © 2003 The American Physical Society.

以北京谱仪(BES)上常用的3种粒子鉴别方法为基础,充分利用BESⅡ所获取的R值扫描、J/ψ和ψ'数据中p,(p-)以及其他带电粒子样本,对动量范围在0.3-1.2GeV的p和p-鉴别方法进行分析研究.找到BES Ⅱ上p和(p-)的最佳鉴别方法:动量低于0.6GeV只用dE/dx实现粒子鉴别,动量高于0.6GeV可用TOF或联合鉴别的方法,并给出p,(p-)的鉴别效率以及本底的混入比例.

摘要：
Pion-kaon correlation functions are constructed from central [Formula presented] STAR data taken at [Formula presented] by the STAR detector at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC). The results suggest that pions and kaons are not emitted at the same average space-time point. Space-momentum correlations, i.e., transverse flow, lead to a space-time emission asymmetry of pions and kaons that is consistent with the data. This result provides new independent evidence that the system created at RHIC undergoes a collective transverse expansion. © 2003 The American Physical Society.

摘要：
Data from the first physics run at the Relativistic Heavy-Ion Collider at Brookhaven National Laboratory, [Formula presented] collisions at [Formula presented], have been analyzed by the STAR Collaboration using three-pion correlations with charged pions to study whether pions are emitted independently at freeze-out. We have made a high-statistics measurement of the three-pion correlation function and calculated the normalized three-particle correlator to obtain a quantitative measurement of the degree of chaoticity of the pion source. It is found that the degree of chaoticity seems to increase with increasing particle multiplicity. © 2003 The American Physical Society.

The balance function is a new observable based on the principle that charge is locally conserved when particles are pair produced. Balance functions have been measured for charged particle pairs and identified charged pion pairs in [Formula presented] collisions at [Formula presented] at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider using STAR. Balance functions for peripheral collisions have widths consistent with model predictions based on a superposition of nucleon-nucleon scattering. Widths in central collisions are smaller, consistent with trends predicted by models incorporating late hadronization. © 2003 The American Physical Society.

Using the relativistic quantum molecular dynamics model, transverse momentum distributions and particle ratios are studied for 197Au+197Au collisions at sNN=200GeV. In particular, we present results on the mean transverse momentum of charged pions, charged kaons, protons, and antiprotons and compare with experimental measurements. We discuss an approach to study early partonic collectivity in high energy nuclear collisions.

摘要：
We recently proposed a new approach to high energy nuclear scattering, which treats hadronic collisions in a sophisticated way. Demanding theoretical consistency as a minimal requirement for a realistic model, we provide a solution for the energy conservation, screening problems and identical elementary interactions, the so-called "Parton-Based Gribov-Regge Theory" including enhanced diagrams. We can now present some of our results for SPS and RHIC energies. © 2003 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.

对CERN-Spp对撞机能区的质子-反质子碰撞事件中产生的喷注(微喷注)内部的动力学起伏进行了自仿射分析,按圆锥法判定由蒙特卡洛事件产生器产生的事件样本中的喷注(微喷注).通过一维阶乘矩的研究得到自仿射的赫斯特指数.按照所得到的赫斯特指数进行三维自仿射分析,在双对数图上得到较好的直线.从而进一步证明,喷注内部的动力学起伏近似地和SPS静止靶强子-强子碰撞中的动力学起伏一样,呈现为纵-横各向异性,而在横平面内各向同性.

摘要：
With 7.8 million produced J/psi events collected by the BES detector at the BEPC, the decay J/psi-->Sigma(0)Sigma(0) is analysed. The branching ratio is measured to be BR(J/psi-->Sigma(0)Sigma(0)) = (0.97 +/- 0.04 +/- 0.24) x 10(-3). The angular distribution is of the form dN/dcostheta = N-0(1 + alphacos(2)theta) with alpha value of -0.21 +/- 0.27 +/- 0.13.

摘要：
We report a measurement of the absolutely inclusive semileptonic branching fractions of D- and (D-0) over bar mesons, using a data sample of 22.3 pb(-1) collected with BES detector at BEPC e(+) e Collider at roots = 4.03 GeV and based on the method of "combinative D+ and D-0 single and double tags". The measured values of the branching fractions for D- --> e(-) X and (D-0) over bar --> e(-) X are ( 21.8 +/- 8.5 +/- 4.2)% and (8.9 +/- 3.0 +/- 1.6)%, respectively. The measured ratio of the branching fractions is BF(D- --> e(-) X)/BF (D0 --> e (-) X) -2.4 +/- 1.7 +/- 0.8.

The STAR Collaboration reports the first observation of exclusive [Formula presented] photoproduction, [Formula presented], and [Formula presented] production accompanied by mutual nuclear Coulomb excitation, [Formula presented], in ultraperipheral heavy-ion collisions. The [Formula presented] have low transverse momenta, consistent with coherent coupling to both nuclei. The cross sections at [Formula presented] agree with theoretical predictions treating [Formula presented] production and Coulomb excitation as independent processes. © 2002 The American Physical Society.

摘要：
We report the first measurement of strange ([Formula presented]) and antistrange ([Formula presented]) baryon production from [Formula presented] [Formula presented] collisions at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC). Rapidity density and transverse mass distributions at midrapidity are presented as a function of centrality. The yield of [Formula presented] and [Formula presented] hyperons is found to be approximately proportional to the number of negative hadrons. The production of [Formula presented] hyperons relative to negative hadrons increases very rapidly with transverse momentum. The magnitude of the increase cannot be described by existing hadronic string fragmentation models alone. © 2002 The American Physical Society.
