Founded in 2001, the association of European universities is a think-tank for the development of doctoral education in Europe. Its functions include setting up a platform, organizing doctoral education research and training activities, assessing the situation, promulgating doctoral education policies, focusing on needs, providing customized think tank services, and forming a scientific working mechanism, global partnership, and extensive participation in the theme.
