摘要:
Searching for X-ray and gamma-ray bursts, including Gamma-ray bursts (GRBs), Soft Gamma-ray Repeaters (SGRs), and high energy transients associated with Gravitational wave (GW) events or Fast radio bursts (FRBs), is of great importance in the multimessenger and multiwavelength era. Although a coherent search based on the likelihood ratio and Gaussian statistics has been established and utilized in many studies, this Gaussian-based method could be problematic for weak and short bursts which usually have very few counts. To deal with all bursts including weak ones, here we propose the coherent search in Poisson statistics. We studied the difference between Poisson-based and Gaussian-based search methods by Monte Carlo simulations, and find that the Poisson-based search method has advantages compared to the Gaussian case, especially for weak bursts. Our results show that, for very weak bursts with very low number of counts, the Poisson-based search can provide higher significance than the Gaussian-based search, and its likelihood ratio (for background fluctuation) still generally follows the chi(2) distribution, making the significance estimation of searched bursts very convenient. Thus, we suggest that the coherent search based on Poisson-likelihood ratio is more appropriate in the search for generic transients including very weak ones.

In this work, we investigate the semileptonic decays of
$$B_{c}$$
meson to
$$\eta _{c}(1S,2S,3S)$$
,
$$\psi (1S,2S,3S)$$
and X(3872) within the framework of covariant light-front quark model (CLFQM). We combine the helicity amplitudes via the corresponding form factors to obtain the branching ratios of the semileptonic decays
$$B_{c}\rightarrow \eta _{c}(1S, 2S, 3S)\ell \nu _{\ell }$$
,
$$B_{c}\rightarrow \psi (1S, 2S, 3S))\ell \nu _{\ell }$$
and
$$B_{c}\rightarrow X(3872)\ell \nu _{\ell }$$
, with
$$\ell =e,\mu ,\tau $$
. In view of the
$$R_{J/\Psi }$$
anomaly released by the LHCb collaboration, it is necessary to systematically calculate the ratios
$$R_X$$
with
$$X=\psi (1S,2S,3S),\eta _c(1S,2S,3S),X(3872)$$
, which are helpful for checking the lepton flavor universality (LFU). We also take into account another two physical observables, the longitudinal polarization fraction
$$f_{L}$$
and the forward–backward asymmetry
$$A_{FB}$$
, which can provide new clues for understanding the
$$R_{J /\Psi }$$
anomaly. Such theoretical predictions are necessary and interesting, and can be tested in future LHCb experiments.

Diffusion wake is an unambiguous part of the jet-induced medium response in high-energy heavy-ion collisions that leads to a depletion of soft hadrons in the opposite direction of the jet propagation. Using a coupled linear Boltzmann transport and hydro model, we identify a valley structure caused by the diffusion wake on top of a ridge from the initial multiple parton interaction (MPI) in the jet-hadron correlation as a function of azimuthal angle and rapidity. This gives rise to the unambiguous signals of the diffusion wake on soft hadrons in the opposite direction of the jets, which are reflected in the depletion in azimuthal angle distribution after subtraction of the contributions from MPI with a mixed-event procedure, and the double-peak structure in the rapidity distribution. We further employ the longitudinal and transverse gradient jet tomography for the first time to localize the initial jet production positions in Z/gamma-jet events in which the effect of the diffusion wake is apparent in Z/gamma-hadron correlation even without the subtraction of MPI.

A first search for the Xi(+)(bc) -> J/psi Xi c+ decay is performed by the LHCb experiment with a data sample of proton-proton collisions, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb(-1) recorded at centre-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV. Two peaking structures are seen with a local (global) significance of and standard deviations at masses of 6571 and 6694 MeV/c(2), respectively. Upper limits are set on the Xi(+)(bc) baryon production cross-section times the branching fraction relative to that of the B-c(+) -> J/psi Xi(+)(c) decay at centre-of-mass energies of 8 and 13 TeV, in the Xi(+)(bc) and in the rapidity and transverse-momentum ranges from 2.0 to 4.5 and 0 to, respectively. Upper limits are presented as a function of the Xi(+)(bc) mass and lifetime.

Cognitive radio (CR) acts as a significant player in enhancing the spectral efficiency (SE) of wireless telecommunications; simultaneously, the intelligent reflecting surface (IRS) technique is a valid technique for increasing the confidentiality properties of wireless telecommunications systems through the modulation of the amplitude and phase shift of the channel. Therefore, we take into consideration an IRS-assisted multiple-input single-output (MISO) CR system to raise the confidentiality rate, which is composed of a primary network with a primary receiver (PR) and an eavesdropping link, as well as a secondary network with a secondary receiver (SR) and SR transmitter (SR-TX). In particular, we minimize the SR’s transmit power under the interference temperature (IT) and confidentiality capacity constraints via the joint optimization of the beamforming vector and artificial noise (AN) constraint matrix at SR-TX together with the phase shift matrix of IRS. Numerical outcomes indicate that various transmit antenna values and the IRS element numbers at SR-TX can greatly reduce transmit power while assuring secure communication.

In these proceedings, we present the measurements of proton, light nuclei, and strange particle with neutral kaons correlation functions in Au+Au collisions at the BES program and top RHIC energy. The experimental results are compared with model calculations to extract the size of emitting source and the properties of the final-state interactions. The collision energy and centrality dependence of the source size are studied. Further, the implications for the production mechanism of light nuclei are discussed.

The magnetic fields in heavy-ion collisions are important ingredients for many interesting phenomena, such as the chiral magnetic effect, the chiral magnetic wave, the directed flow v1 of D0 mesons, and the splitting of the spin polarization of the Lambda/(Lambda) over bar over bar . Quantitative studies of these phenomena, however, suffer from limited understanding of the dynamical evolution of these fields in the medium created by the collisions, which remains a critical and challenging problem. The initial magnetic fields from the colliding nuclei decay very fast in the vacuum but their lifetime could be extended through medium response due to electrically conducting quarks and antiquarks. Here we perform a detailed analysis of such medium effect on the dynamical magnetic fields by numerically solving Maxwell's equations concurrently with the expanding medium described by viscous hydrodynamics, under the assumption of negligible back reaction of the fields on the fluid evolution. Our results suggest a considerable enhancement of late time magnetic fields, the magnitude of which depends sensitively on the fireball expansion as well as the medium electric conductivity both before and during hydrodynamic stage.

Sportsmanship is a core characteristic of competitive sports. To determine the factors related to sportsmanship and explore effective strategies to maintain sportsmanship in adolescent athletes, the present study examined the relationship between anxiety and sportsmanship in adolescent athletes and evaluated the potential mediating roles of athlete burnout and exercise cognition. In this study, 1,544 adolescent athletes (852 boys and 692 girls) with an average age of 14.43 years (SD = 1.92) were enrolled. The analyses showed that there was a significant correlation between state anxiety, trait anxiety, athlete burnout, exercise cognition, and sportsmanship. Additionally, state and trait anxiety were associated with lower levels of sportsmanship, and athlete burnout and exercise cognition played multiple mediating roles in the relationship between anxiety and sportsmanship. These findings suggest that anxiety is a plausible explanation for sportsmanship. Adolescent athletes with high levels of trait or state anxiety are more likely to experience athlete burnout, have poorer levels of exercise cognition, and display less sportsmanship.

Based on the framework of Filippov solution, a non-chattering controller is presented to realize the fixed-time (FXT) stability for a nonlinear system with the discontinuous activation function. First, a novel FXT stability criterion is established through the reduction to absurdity, and the settling time is estimated. Then, by building two controllers without chattering, sufficient conditions are obtained to ensure the FXT synchronization of the drive-response system. Moreover, compared with the existing results, the FXT obtained here is less conservative and more accurate. Finally, the validity of the proposed methods is provided by two numerical examples.

Inverse stochastic resonance (ISR) is a modality of nonlinear response to noise, there is the biggest inhibitory effect of noise on neural electrical activity when the ISR happens. In this paper, the discharge activity of a triple-neuron feed-forward-loop (FFL) motif is investigated under the Gaussian colored noise and electromagnetic induction, where the FFL motif is constructed by Izhikevich neurons and connected by chemical synapse and the FFL motifs are classified into four types by the character of synaptic current. Here, the ISR induced by the Gaussian colored noise and electromagnetic induction is focused and various effects of different system parameters on ISR have been found. The most prominent ISR phenomenon will be seen in the case of low-input current and low cross-correlation ratio. There are no significant differences in the ISR curves for various chemical coupling strengths and chemical synapse delays, which conforms to the dynamic mechanisms of the ISR behavior. Besides, the ISR phenomenon also ensues under low electromagnetic induction levels and the effects of electromagnetic induction on the ISR are discussed. The results found here provide a novel perspective about the inhibitory effect on neural motif, which might help the biologists and pathologists understand some complex physiological phenomena of the nervous systems.

A compact 4-port coplanar waveguide (CPW) fed ultra-wideband (UWB) multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) antenna with enhanced isolation is proposed to operate from 3.66 GHz to 16.61 GHz with 127.78% impedance bandwidth. The proposed antenna system consists of 4 orthogonal arrays of monopole antennas improved by four iterations. The UWB characteristic of the antenna is obtained from an improved monopole antenna fed by CPW. The final MIMO antenna is machined on a Rogers 4003C substrate with dimensions of 60 x 60 x 0.3 mm(3). The orthogonal arrangement of antennas brings about the polarization diversity and certain isolation of MIMO antennas. Four rows of orthogonal metasurface elements with via holes and the ring of the backplane further improve the isolation between antenna elements in the MIMO system. The MIMO antenna has an impedance bandwidth of 12.95 GHz with S-11 < -10 dB and good isolation (S-21 =S-41 < -30 dB and S-31 < -20 dB). In particular, S31 is always less than -25 dB at frequencies greater than 6 GHz. The measured results of MIMO antenna agree with the simulated results. The optimized MIMO antenna has excellent performance in many aspects, such as UWB, compact size, omnidirectional radiation, enhanced isolation and high efficiency, which means that it has application potential in UWB wireless communication systems.

Motivated by recent experimental LHC measurements on the forward inclusive jet productions and based on our previous calculations on forward hadron productions, we calculate a single inclusive jet cross section in pA collisions at forward rapidity within the color glass condensate framework up to the next-to -leading order. Moreover, with the application of a jet algorithm and proper subtraction of the rapidity and collinear divergences, we further demonstrate that the resulting next-to-leading-order hard coefficients are finite. In addition, in order to deal with the large logarithms that can potentially spoil the convergence of the perturbative expansion and improve the reliability of the numerical predictions, we introduce the collinear jet function and the threshold jet function and resum these large logarithms hidden in the hard coefficients.

摘要:
We celebrate the legacies of our friend and mentor Professor Lianshou Liu who was one of the pioneers for the phenomenology of multi-particle interactions and initiated the physics of relativistic heavy-ion collisions in China. In this article, we discuss some of the recent exciting experimental observations on the collective phenomena including collectivity, chirality, criticality, strangeness production, and thermal equilibrium in high-energy nuclear collisions. Future directions, especially the physics at high baryon density, will be discussed with a focus on the first-order phase boundary and hyperon-nucleon interactions.

In this paper we propose a scheme for achieving simultaneous nonreciprocal photon blockade for two coupled spinning resonators, one of which contains an optical parametric amplifier (OPA). Rotating two resonators gives rise to opposite Sagnac-Fizeau shifts for input from different ends. Depending on the opposite shifts, quantum destructive interference emerges and disappears in two-photon excitation. The emergence of destructive interference results in photon blockade in two resonators simultaneously for one end input, while the lack of complete destructive interference makes the blockade disappear for the other end input. The simultaneous nonreciprocal blockade is tunable by controlling the amplitude of the probe field and the driving field applied on the OPA. Our work paves the way to develop simultaneous nonreciprocal single-photon devices in multiple modes, which have potential applications in multichannel topological and chiral quantum technologies.
